Darlac, well known for innovation in gardening, have announced a threefold increase in their watering equipment sales since garden centres came out of lockdown. Not just because of the heat wave over spring and summer in many parts of the country but because more garden centres have listed the range with 25 new stockists in May alone!

The company has long been known for the supply of good quality watering products including an extensive range of solid brass watering solutions but also has a comprehensive range of sprays and timers. The new Twister spray gun which can be used as a 3in1 spray or a sprinkler is a popular addition for 2020.

Within the range are some unique and novel products such as the Take Anywhere Tap. Designed to simply screw onto a post, wall or any other out-building, a hose from the mains supply can then be attached and there is a tap that can be used for a whole host of jobs – no need for the gardener to be heaving watering cans all the way down the garden if he can take the tap to the plot! Great for stables and builders too.

New products this year include the WaterMe pot. The unique pot can “advise” when more water should be added to the reservoir through a water level indicator. The indicator will reveal when the reservoir is full and when it needs topping up so that plants are kept in the best of health.
